2nd UMBAJA Congress had been held in the period between 22 - 24 of June 2018 in Pavillon cultural center in Hannover. The general focus was the traditional pattern of the integration process of the newcomers into German society, and to what degree this pattern ingests the requirements of building a homogenous, colorful and multicultural society in the era of Globalisation.

In our second congress in UMBAJA e.V, we continued the practical shaping of our own vision on What does integration mean for us as newcomers into German society? Our Congress brought together 50 participants of activists from Austria, Germany, Norway, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. The Congress was of 6 Workshops, 4 presentations, 2 Film screens, 1-panel discussion, and 1 Fishbowl.

 

2nd UMBAJA Congress has come after 2 years of sensitization and mobilization of different communities in different European countries in order to take the lead in shaping our future within the European society which is a very big challenge.

The Congress discussed the following Topics: 

1- responsibility towards a sustainable world as a key for change.
2- UMBAJA e.V European and International network.
3- Women first, as a fundamental condition for development.
4- Upgration vs. Integration.
