Work group-2 (Werkgruppe2)

Work group-2 develops hybrid projects of documentary storytelling, film or theater projects, fiction, between drama and music theater.

Work group-2 tries to describe social reality from the perspective of people who belong to social minorities, the invisible, the excluded. Based on extensive journalistic research, atmospheric and narrative dense implementations emerge, which explore the boundaries between documentation and fiction. The starting point for the texts are narrative interviews, which usually capture a clearly defined perspective on a topic. From these narratives werkgruppe2 creates a composed text network that is implemented on the stage or in the film with a professional acting ensemble in a strongly artistic, partisan, interpretive approach. The music that is involved live in every production consists of new compositions, often from different, unusual sound sources, and is an element of equal importance.
