A contribution to UNESCO action program "Education for Sustainable Development"

The target of the this book remains integrated into the international pursuit of sustainability; that still remains closely linked to the didactics of education subjects and to the competency model.

More than forty authors have contributed to this book. A task force with representatives and international expert of science and civil soci-ety has accompanied this project.

This book provides conceptual support to the education systems development, training on all levels.

Also it provides a sound basis for continuing the successful cooperation of education and development in the civil society.

The superior education target in the learning area of this book is to acquire basic competencies for a sustainable design of private and professional life, for the participation in society and for shared responsibility in a national and global context.
