9. Rights and Democracy
All people are entitled to the basic human rights in the same way – regardless of origin, gender, religion or age.

On the run from forced marriage, behind bars because of the "wrong" opinion, in the textile factory from childhood: human rights are not a matter of course even in the 21st century. In many countries they are part of the political culture and a moral postulate. But they continue to be disregarded – by individuals, by groups and by states. More than 70 years after the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, they are far from having universal acceptance. All people are entitled to them in the same way – regardless of origin, gender, religion or age.
In our workshops participants will learn and exchange about the issue of Human and Children rights in our world today and particular in their own countries and how can we work together to protect and promote Human/Children rights.
